10 Minute Mail

Dave Kawalec responded to my last post and commented on another similar service to craigsnumber, dubbed 10 Minute Mail. This service, as you may have guessed, provides an auto expiring email address for (yes your right!), 10 minutes. You simply click on the “Get my 10 Minute Mail e-mail address” link on the home page and you are provided with a unique email address like [email protected]. Thats the one I received and tested it out by mailing to it and responding from it using several other email accounts. It worked just fine, of course now, its expired. One nice thing about 10 Minute Mail is that you can click on a link to request and additional 10 minutes if needed. Happy mailing :-)

Aha! all my worries about privacy are now gone. Nice find. Tried 10minutemail and opened myself a google account. Posted craigsnumber on my blog for a day and already recd a call. Talk about simplicity. I have them bookmarked now.

Personally, I’m a huge fan of dodgeit.com - same sort of idea, except the address can be shared and anyone can check a given address via RSS.

So if I start monitoring , you could conceivably also check it, so privacy is a concern.

But for throwaway email, it’s pretty convenient :)
