September 15, 2007 – 12:10 pm

The team at Blue Sky Factory has been pumping out some great content lately on our blog and in our monthly newsletter, Factory Direct.

First, Ken Pfeiffer, head of technology at BSF, wrote an excellent post on how the implementation of SPF records, Sender ID and Domain Keys can have an almost immediate affect on your email deliverability.

Three Ways to Improve Email Delivery:

“Deliverability has been a hot topic lately. There are a few things that can be done to improve your overall deliverability, specifically setting up SPF, SenderID and Domain Keys. The water has been muddied regarding these topics and an in-depth discussion is well beyond what will be discussed below. Next, Keith Nickoles, design guru for BSF, wrote an excellent article on using inline style embedding vs. straight CSS, to maximize the proper rendering of your email creative across the multitude of email clients.

The rock stars in account management have also been posting some great content as well. Check out Jeanne Bayer’s, Director of Account Management at BSF, recent article on the importance of using email to brand your organization. There are many factors to consider when you are trying to maximize your email marketing program, including the implementation of customized branded public pages, i.e. opt out, subscriber preferences, forward to a friend, etc.. This article is geared towards Publicaster users, but still offers some great insight in general.

Using Email to Market your Brand

“As marketers, you know that to build a brand, all of your communications should have a consistent look and feel. As email marketers, it is important to remember that your email campaigns should also cultivate your brand image and voice.

Most likely, you already use email templates designed to mirror or complement your website to help you maintain your brand image. But why stop there?” Full Article….
