About
Hello, and welcome to the personal weblog of Greg Cangialosi.
I am a 34 year old entrepreneur living in Baltimore, MD USA. Work hard and play hard are words that I live by. Currently, I am the President & CEO of Blue Sky Factory, Inc, an email marketing service provider. We are a growing company focused on the mediums of email & RSS (Really Simple Syndication).
I qualify as a 10-year veteran of entrepreneurship, a.k.a a serial entrepreneur. My previous startup ventures have included a 3 year run in the music industry as a concert promoter, starting and running a touring food vending business, and running a small web / interactive firm, all before starting Blue Sky Factory, Inc.
I am into technology, business, media, marketing and music in all of their forms. My head is usually full of this stuff in some way or another on a daily basis. I also qualify as a frequent traveler.
I received my B.A degree in English from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) in 1996. Today, I am actively involved with the advancement of the university. I am currently serving a 3 year term on the board of directors for the alumni association, and am involved in various strategic committees.
I am also an avid blogger and podcaster. I have been authoring this blog, The Trend Junkie, since 2003, and have been involved in many corporate podcasting projects for companies like GM, Disney, & Verizon Wireless. My current new media projects are ROI Radio, a show focused on the online marketing and media landscape, and Trend TV, a video podcast featuring conversations with industry thought leaders. I talk with CEO’s and senior management of technology, media and marketing companies on a variety of topics around online marketing and emerging mediums.
I am also the co-author of the new book, “The Business Podcasting Book” the first in a series of books under the Podcast Academy brand, published by Focal Press, an imprint of Elsevier.
My wife Theresa, who is also an entrepreneur of many years, and I live in our recently renovated row home in the groovy neighborhood of South Baltimore, a.k.a. SoBo. She is into aromatherapy, natural body products, and qualify’s as a craniosacral master. Her new venture launched earlier this year, and her online store launched in late 2007.
For the record, I must say that the opinions expressed in this blog are mine, and mine alone, and not those of my company.
